International Motorcycle Show Time.

Ok it's just about that time again here in the Tri-State area. The Progressive International Motorcycle Show at the Jacob K.Javits Convention Center in NYC! We just call it the Javits Show around here. The show runs January 21-23rd this year. This year celebrate it's 30th year and a new sponsor Progressive Insurance. After many years as sponsor Cycle World is no longer in the riders seat.

Progressive has reinvented the show from the ground up with all new visual designs and show environment along with more entertainment and learning opportunities. Said to be better and more enjoyable than before. Many of the major manufactures will be there as will some not so major. Always a surprise when a new manufacturer shows up to show off.

There will also be the custom bike builders like Walt Siegl Motorcycles, Indian Larry,       TH Kustomz and more. If you've been there before you know the custom world is still alive and well. As we know the high dollar customs peaked a couple of years ago but many of the more realist shops survive and many are here.

There are organizations, clubs and other groups on hand to enhance the lifestyle. Some of those are the American Motorcyclist Association, America's 9/11 Foundation, Inc., Bikers Against Breast Cancer, Inc. NY and Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club- New York just to name a few. How about the touring aspect of riding? Check these folks out for some great getaway ideas. The West Virginia Division of Tourism, Greene County Tourism, Graham County Travel and Tourism and more.

Looking for riding gear? There's Arai Helmets, Shoei Helmets, Bates Leathers, Cyphen Sportswear, HJC Helmets, HIE, Inc./Milwaukee Leather, Love Handles and many more. How about stuff for your bike. It's great because much of the stuff here you never even thought about or knew existed. If you need it this is the place to find it.
